Sub: Workshop for Teachers, Counselors, Social Workers, & Psychologists
CSCD – A unit of Hindustan Institute of Management & Computer Studies is organizing two days workshop on “Counseling skills and Identification of early unhealthy Psychological symptoms”.
The
main focus of this workshop will be on day to day growing acute
Psycho-Somatic and Psychological problems of the students such as
constant headache, deteriorated scholastic performance, poor span of
attention, suicidal ideation/ attempted suicide particularly after
examinations, neurotic behavior, stealing/gambling/pervasive behavior,
possession and use of illegal weapons even on minor issues, use of
drugs, running away from home/ institution etc. All these Psycho-somatic
and Psychological problems may be because of various reasons which can
be identified and discussed during the workshop.
In
such a scenario the role of educational institution becomes very
important in socialization process of a student. Hence, teachers need to
be trained in counseling skills.
